ISO 14001 Internal Auditor Training


In this interactive, in-depth course, participants will learn and apply basic auditing concepts and skills. These skills will enable the successful participant to identify environmental aspects and impacts and evaluate audit findings to evaluate conformance with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) standard and progress toward achieving the company’s objectives and targets. Trainees perform a mock audit on Day 2.

Course Description

Two-day Workshop: ISO 14001 Internal Auditor Training
The course will train prospective auditors on the ISO 14001 international standard, the requirements it sets for a firm’s environmental management
system, what system components need to be in place to meet the standard, how to determine if they are and the art of seeking objective evidence
of conformance to the requirements.

It will provide the attendee with a list of reference materials that will provide internal auditors and ISO 14001
implementation teams with additional guidance on system implementation and auditing. The attendee will also receive a copy of the ISO 14001
standard, the presentation materials and provide the attendee an opportunity to practice newly-acquired auditing skills by performing a mock audit.


(Note: This course prepares the trainee to perform internal audits. It is not the more extensive, 5-day Lead Auditor training course.)

Operation Managers, Engineers, Department Heads, Production Supervisors or anyone else in a facility who has been selected to become an ISO 14001 Internal Auditor.
