Market Access Grants Still Available
If your company is planning a trade activity for new international market development with travel to a foreign market or trade show, Market Access Grants (MAG) are still available this fiscal year for companies under $40M in sales.
Companies can apply for up to $3,000 (with a 50/50 company match) to offset expenses such as airfare, lodging, in-country transportation, interpreter fees, or exhibition fees. One application can be submittedper company per fiscal year.
American Recovery & Reinvestment Act
is offering private firms direct payments for specific renewable energy projects (i.e. wind, solar, geothermal, biomass, etc.) installed on their facilities with payments equal to 10-30% of the installed cost of the renewable energy project. These direct payments cover projects installed between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010 and make renewable energy technology more affordable and shorten payback periods. SBA Offers Emergency Bridge Loans to Small Manufacturers
If your small business is stressed meeting expenses during these economic times, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has a new loan program designed just for you. SBA’s America’s Recovery Capital Loan Program (ARC) can provide up to $35,000 in short-term relief for viable small businesses facing immediate financial hardship to help ride out the current uncertain economic times and return to profitability. Each small business is limited to one ARC loan. ARC loans will be offered by some SBA lenders for as long as funding is available or until September 30, 2010, whichever comes first.
