Katie Bell is the Williamsport/Lycoming Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) Coordinator. The Williamsport/Lycoming KIZ is a one-stop resource to help entrepreneurs, start-up companies and progressive businesses implement an innovative idea from start to finish. Katie has experience working with academia through her more recent positions at Bucknell University and Lycoming College, and with economic development through her past employment with the IMC. Katie is also involved with a small business in Williamsport. She is a Lycoming College graduate.

Lauren Bryson

Statewide IRC Network Coordinator

Lauren’s education and experience are in the areas of marketing and economic development.  Notable marketing successes included key roles in developing a state-of-the-art economic development marketing website, creating numerous marketing materials and coordinating initiatives and events around economic development.  Lauren has extensive experience in leadership, graphics design, market research and strategic marketing plan development.  She has been involved with and completed training in many aspects of economic development including marketing, attraction, retention, workforce development, education, infrastructure and development.  In addition to her experience and education in economic development marketing, Lauren graduated from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing, an Associates Degree in Sales Management, a Concentration in Sociology, and an International Marketing Certificate from Brugge, Belgium.

A graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Technology, Bo brings to the IMC an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Science as well as experience in the Computer Science field and seven years in the U.S. Army.

Dan Manetta

Business Advisor

Dan joined IMC in 2007, bringing over 10 years of experience in developing corporate training and education programs in both manufacturing and service industries. Dan has also been involved in strategic planning, change management, organizational development, leadership and management.

Dan has a Master's Degree in Business Education from Bloomsburg University and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from The Pennsylvania State University.

As the IMC Business Advisor for Union, Clinton, Snyder and Juniata counties, Dan will be working with businesses to explore new technologies and markets, innovate new processes and products, and deliver distinctive goods and services.

Zane Patalive

Zane joined the IMC in January 1993, after 7 years of being an Informational Technology LAN Administrator/Systems Analyst/Programmer in a heavy steel manufacturer.  In industry, Zane learned the struggles of dealing with a large list of IT objectives while operating on a small budget.

Since joining the IMC, Zane has achieved industry certification as a Network Engineer with both Microsoft (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), and Novell (Certified Netware Engineer).  Over the past 14 years of professional IT experience, Zane has been exposed to a wide variety of systems and practices and gained experience that can be invaluable to ensuring the successful design and implementation of today's complex networking solutions.

Karla Sexton

Solutions Network Manager

As Solutions Network Manager, Karla provides leadership and direction in identifying, developing and engaging resources, to include internal and third-party providers, who offer seminars, workshops and direct delivery of business strategy, business growth services, process improvement services and other solutions.

Karla has over 20 years of practical knowledge and experience in counseling and assisting manufacturers and other business enterprises. Karla has been involved in solving problems related to all facets of business development to include fiscal management, governmental compliance and regulatory requirements, human resource planning and administration, manufacturing process development and new product design and development to include market assessments, product liability issues and opportunity risk management.

Formerly, she was the statewide coordinator of the IRC Network, comprised of the seven Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Centers, and has held many other positions in the private sector to include owner -operator of a manufacturing/technology management company and former corporate counsel with a major aerospace company. She holds a law degree from Texas Tech University and an undergraduate degree in Mass Communications. She has been involved in her local community and has served on several local boards and volunteered on many community service committees.

Steve Shaible

Steve Shaible joined the IMC in 1996, after 13 years of working as an Information Technology Professional in manufacturing.  After graduating with a B.S. in Computer Science, Steve started his IT career with six years of experience managing and developing in-house MRP II software systems for a Tier 1 automotive supplier.  During the next seven years, Steve was involved with selection and implementation of an off-the-shelf ERP software package for a company in the steel wire rope industry.

As Systems Engineer at the IMC, Steve continues to serve the manufacturing community by providing good information technology solutions to companies.  Steve has achieved industry certification as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), in Production and Inventory Management through Penn State University, and through the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).

Steve's exposure to a wide variety of systems and practices in the IT profession can ensure the successful design and implementation of today's complex networking solutions

Jim Shillenn

Executive Director/CEO

Jim Shillenn has been Executive Director of IMC since August 1995.

Prior to joining IMC, Jim spent nearly 20 years with Penn State University. While at Penn State he held positions in the College of Engineering, the Biotechnology Institute and was Executive Director of the Bioprocessing Resource Center, which provided manufacturing process development assistance to the biotechnology and biopharmaceutical industries.

Currently, Jim is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce, Manufacturers Resource Center and Recycling Markets Center. He also serves on the Corporate Advisory Board for Penn College and the Advisory Board for the Plastic's Manufacturing Center at Penn College. He is also past chairman of Pennsylvania's Industrial Resource Center Network and is now serving as secretary.

Jim graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Biology and served over three years of active duty in the U.S. Army.

Linda Weaver

Business Advisor

Linda has 25 years experience in manufacturing with a concentration in process improvement, team related and quality systems activities.  She held positions of Team Leader, Focus Group Facilitator, Work Team Coordinator and Quality Facilitator at a major business forms company and was responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the certified ISO9002 Quality System.

Linda has a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Bloomsburg University.  She is a member of ASQ Section 501 and of ASTD.

Linda has facilitated several Lean 101 workshops for companies in the Williamsport area for the past four years.
