Lauren Bryson, Executive Director/CEO

Lauren served as Interim Executive Director/CEO at IMC and has been with the Industrial Resource Center Network since 2006.  She has coordinated numerous statewide efforts for growth and innovation for Pennsylvania manufacturers.  Lauren’s education and experience are in the areas of marketing and economic development.  She has experience in leadership, non-profit management, market research and strategic marketing plan development.  Lauren is a graduate from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, an Associate’s Degree in Sales Management with a Concentration in Sociology and an International Marketing Certificate from Brugge, Belgium.  She was born and raised in Central Pennsylvania and is a strong advocate for the manufacturers that provide a solid economic foundation for the families and future generations in the region.  She is excited to accomplish the mission by building on the strengths of IMC and continuing to innovate and improve the organization to provide high value services, support and initiatives to make Central Pennsylvania an international leader in manufacturing.

Dana GordonDana Gordon, Director of Client Services

Dana is dedicated to helping reignite manufacturing within central PA as a Business Advisor with IMC. Having joined IMC in January, she brings with her 20 years of business experience chronicled by repeated promotions, awards and quota-surpassing sales performance primarily with Xerox Corporation and Eastman Kodak Company. Dana can share success stories with P&L management, executive level consultative sales, sales management, project management, sales training development and coaching, new product launch, customer acquisition and retention strategies and more. In addition, Dana is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, a Certified Family Business Advisor and is a graduate of the Innovation Engineering Leadership Institute.

In addition to her business expertise, Dana is skilled in laboratory diagnostic technologies with an education in biomedical sciences.

Prior to joining Xerox and Kodak, Dana earned her MBA from Penn State University. Prior to her MBA, Dana earned a BS in Microbiology, also from Penn State. She is also a graduate of the School of Medical Technology at Pennsylvania Hospital and earned a certification in Medical Technology from the National Association of Clinical Pathologists. Dana was a microbiologist with the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia for five years.

Sarah HortonSarah Cioffi, Video Web Marketing & Innovation Coordinator

Sarah joined IMC in June, 2011 as Program Assistant. Since then, Sarah has worked with multiple small businesses and manufacturers with marketing strategies and techniques through website construction, content maintenance, advertising, press releases and video.

Sarah is also the Williamsport / Lycoming KIZ Coordinator, lending a hand with the KIZ Tax Credit Program as well as the Williamsport Inventors Club.

Sarah graduated from Lock Haven University in 2010 with a B.A. in Communication Media with a concentration in Broadcasting and a minor in Psychology. She has a passion for editing video and enjoys time spent gardening, cooking and crafting.

Russ Lawrence, Director of Innovation

Russ, Senior Business Advisor, brings a valuable and diverse collection of experiences and capabilities to serve IMC clients. Most of Russ’s professional career has been with PPG Industries, Inc. He worked in PPG manufacturing facilities in the chemicals, primary glass, automotive glass and at their corporate office. Russ began immersing himself in lean / continuous improvement tools and methods in the late 1980s and has applied these approaches to lead numerous operational successes and major change initiatives. He earned an SPHR Certification in human resources and his HR background includes leadership roles and a long list of strategic solutions in areas such as training and development, hiring and selection, environmental, health and safety, organizational development, policy deployment, compensation and benefits.

Prior to joining PPG, Russ purchased and operated a music retail and teaching studio. Despite a challenging retail environment he found innovative ways to significantly expand the business, sold it and it continues to operate successfully. While running the business Russ earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Education from Duquesne University. He has years of experience with ISO, QS and TS (automotive) operating systems, has received extensive management / leadership training and certifications.

Russ has a passion for entrepreneurialism, innovation and performance maximization and a strong belief that manufacturing excellence is the key to prosperity and wealth creation. Along with his business background, Russ has completed twenty marathons, authored a book titled Assembling the Happiness Puzzle, composed and recorded an accompanying musical CD and has done numerous presentations on personal growth and performance maximization.

Lauri Moon, IMCPA PennsylvaniaLauri Moon, Operations & Communication Coordinator

Lauri joined IMC in November 1990. In her current position as Marketing & Events Coordinator, Lauri coordinates and supports all logistic functions associated with marketing, seminars, workshops and other organizational activities and events that promote IMC and its services. Lauri also provides administrative support in the areas of contract compliance and sponsor reporting.

Lauri is a member of the Williamsport Area School District Alumni Association Board, the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Lycoming Board and Marketing Committee as well as a member of several  other local organizations.

 

Kim Vanemon, Financial & Client Project Coordinator

Kim is responsible for accounting, administrative and project management functions to support IMC’s mission to grow Central Pennsylvania manufacturers’ profitability. During her time with IMC, Kim has successfully managed state and federal grants, streamlined accounting processes and developed clearer financial reports. Her experience is in manufacturing and non-profit industries. During her time with a textile manufacturer, Kim was promoted several times allowing her to experience multiple functions required in a manufacturing business. Her strengths include attention to detail, continuous learning and dedication to the task at hand. Kim is proficient in Peachtree, Fundware, SBT Inventory and Accounting system, AS400 and Windows Vista. She is currently pursuing continued education in the information technology field at Penn College. Kim has also attended and completed grant management training.

Kim is the proud mother of three children and an avid runner. She has been engaged as a volunteer in her community for Girl Scouts of America, Balls Mills United Methodist Church and Hepburn Lycoming Little League.

Ed ZubavichEd Zubavich, Business Advisor

Ed has over 20 years of experience as an Engineer, Vice President of Operations & Sales and President, with a unique range of experience in the areas of technology, specialty products for industrial, medical and nonwoven/paper/film markets. He is a graduate of Penn State University and has a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Ed has expertise in domestic and international manufacturing, marketing, new business & product development and business restructuring.
